Why should anyone consider a career in Real Estate?
I'm the first to tell you, Real Estate is not for everyone. The National Association of Realtors (NAR) membership has dropped almost 50% in the last two years. During these trying times, the Realtors that are left in the business remain due to their love of the industry. In the last few years, Realtors are working long, long hours with minimal results. With falling real estate prices, less buyers, and all time high foreclosures, Realtors are more important than ever.
Buyers and Sellers need us!
The Economy needs us.
The American Dream needs us.
Sellers today need our experience to direct them through the turbulent foreclosure market and to deal with many obstacles that may stop short their goal of homeownership. The American Dream is for Americans to feel secure in their own home and to take pride in ownership.
Realtors and real estate keep the American economy ticking. Look what has happened to the world economy because real estate prices slipped in America. Look what happened to the economy when homes were being built and prices were escalating.
Now is the perfect time to change your career. You should consider the following:
- You are your own boss. You can rise to the top or sink to the bottom in real estate. If you don't want to work you'll sink, you work hard you rise.
- A good sales person has the potential to earn big dollars. Not everyone has the capability of becoming a top producer.
- Entering into Real Estate is a life style change. You become engrossed and love your work or you leave the business in six months.
- You decide which hours you work based on your customer needs. You may work 20 hours one week and 60 hours the next.
- Have you ever been really successful and very good at something? It's very rewarding.
- Real Estate will teach you to think positive. There is no room for negativity in this business.
- If you're successful, you will have the respect of your family, friends and coworkers.
- As a Realtor, you are always thinking outside the box. You're thinking of better ideas to promote your business.
